Spitzkoppe offers a wide variety of rock climbing from single-pitch sport and trad climbing to mixed multi-pitch climbing on the Pontoks and on the Great Spitzkoppe mountain. The main attraction for climbing at Spitzkoppe is climbing the summit which is an 8 – 12 hour trip that includes several hours of hiking, scrambling through crevices, and rock climbing 6 pitches. It also encompasses a 150-meter abseil back down from the summit
